Chapter 3: Sibling-Blings!

Us 4 haven had an outing like this since forever.. Haha~ And it's actually great that i'm back from india, then bro & sis came back from Kl this weekend. We headed to Jonker Street. A must place to visit if u're visiting Melaka (i'm the self-proclaimed Tan Sri Melaka rmb?) Just as we step into Jonker, hahaha AJ saw this girl wearing the same color as him.. Purple on purple =.= Wat are the odds~

Wat jonker has to offer is a taste of Melaka history & uniqueness. Handicrafts, unique foods & clothes. What food i recomend ar.. Erm.. Nyonya laksa & durian cendol. There's also some pretty unique candies around.

Erm, go on a Friday would b best la, cuz it's packed with people. ANd oh~ there's also loads of bar with life band during the weekends. So, after u shop & tired d kan, go get a drink at any nearby bistro~ And yeah, i'll brag, Melaka food is SOoO much cheaper than Kl food =) Muahahahaha~

This uncle has been working here since i think Jonker existed, haha. He bends betal wires into loads of things. U can also ask him to do a name. Hahah~ Wat else ar, erm fried ice cream?

And of course, with me around, means u gotta have a little photos taken =p We're at the Quayside. Waited for someone to help us tk picture, in the end, all the couples ignored us =.= kanasai~ ahahaha~ so we did it ourselves anyway~

Haha~ The sillier the post, the better i'd say =) Huhu~ I wanted to do beggar pose, but then got a few ppl stop and stared at us d.. Adui...

Chapter 4: Go Green!

I made dinner yday.. And i realised i used alot of greens. Probly due to the lack of it in India.. So, i'm introducing 2 very easy to make dishes. The Not-so-Green Salad

It's basically, a salad (i used Butterhead & Coral Lettuce), tossed with 3 different grated cheese (parmesan, fruit & nut, cream cheese), extra virgin olive oil (the more the virginity, the better), grounded black pepper & salt to taste, home made croutons with rosemary & basil & shreds of bacon.

I think the bacon made the whole green ensemble non-vegan~ Hahaha.

And i made this Majlis Perbandaran worthy soup. Basically, it's a soup with everything!

Well, basically, watever left over or ingredients tat tak cukup to make another dish, can be tossed into this soup. Just make a chicken stock, or an anchovy base soup. Then start tossing everything else. I have tomatoes, apples (yes! it makes the soup sweeter~ trust me), cucumber, 3 types of mushrooms (button, chinese, and another chinese =.=), onions, carrots, leftover macaroni & eggs. I probly missed out something!

Basically, this soup is delicious, flavourful, and it's rly fun, cuz u use up everything! =) ahahahaha

ANd also seafood baked rice. Heheh this one never tk photo, cuz my adiks edi makan-ing it when i return from washing my hands =.=

Chapter 8: Bolt!

A normal evening in the Ng Family's residence will involve alot of barking, fur-shedding, drooling fun! =) Remember him? He's all grown up now. And dad loves playing with him cuz he's super alert and is very obedient. I'm abit taunted to even go near him at first.It's A-Von! Heheh~ rmb when he was little and can fit into my arms? Now he's big.. and looks like he's gonna tear u into shreds. ANd he's only 6 months old! So handsome~

Being a puppy means he's rly active.. He always pester my dad to tk him out for a walk, and play games with him. Hehe~ He likes tugging~U remember him?? U guys watched Bolt? Hahaha~ Tadaaa~ This is my personal Bolt! But he's Rusty. Cuz he likes playing in the mud, which gv him a copper tinge. Hence the name. This pup is very very playful & jovial. He will never cease to run around the garden.

And he likes lying down whenever u touch him hahaha. I guess he enjoys the belly rub alot =) Huhu~ Love me doggies!! =)

Chapter 4: An American-Italian Affair~

I love pizzas.. And i think among the franchised pizzas, i like US pizza the best. Because it's not overly popular, it's not spoilt by the gimmicks & impression like Pizza Hut (which sucks~) or Shakey's & Domino's.

Haha~ If there's a US pizza nearby, go during Tuesday, Cuz on Tuesday, u get Buy1 free 1 offer. Like, 1 Large pizza, free 1 Large pizza. That simple! =)

And also, cuz their bread is made on the spot, like right infront of ur face, so it's fresher. Not like Pizza Hut, the bread is frozen punya~ Eeew~~ =)

Chapter 3: The Eye Of Melaka

Ella, "Standing In The Eyes of The World". Ok, more like sitting and trembling. Cuz we know i dun do well with heights, right? But it was pretty pleasant cuz the wheel was pretty stable.

I went out with an old old fren, (not indicatin we're both old or watsoever) Gracie. And haha, we just had a blast. Like 2 long time no see kinda fren. We just chat all the way. Even getting to her house was a drama.

We decided to go The Eye of Melaka, cuz we've never been thr & tot it would b fun. The view from above is just amazing.. Ok not rly, i'm not a fan of sceneries. U got me up thr, now take me down... =) But being wit gracie makes it so much better.

We were talking so much, i bet the couple sharing our gondola is cursing us. Haha. Then, i noticed this sign on the roof. 'In case of fire, switch off air conditioning'. What?? U wan us to get burnt alive, but the last few moments u wan us to be aircon-less? Geez~ wat a bunch of sadist.. Haha~ I'll sure to off the switch in the midst of panicking and trembling as my gondola's filled with thick smoke ya =p

The fee for The Eye is RM20 for adults & RM12 for kids. And RM10 for disabled. But if u have a MyKad, u get 50% off! Yay~ Is it worth going? Hmmm.. Yeaps! For 10 bucks, u get 12 minute of fun! Make sure u go with someone who'll talk alot la. If not it's going to be 12 minutes of boredom and lots of watch looking, time checking actions~

Chapter 3: Kay Elle~

I can't do it chronologically cuz abit here, abit there the pix. Hahaha~ So with the pix that i have, i'll do it 1st =) Ok, in fact, I'll blog from the last moment. The dinner with my parents in Dragon-I Pavilion~

Was so excited to meet my parents, i was scotch hopping to them in brand new Dopie's. I wanted to go to El Cerdo for dinner, but i dunno whr it is. So, ok lor, mum likes Dragon-I then go lor~ hehehehe

We ordered erm, several dishes lor. And i'd highly recomend the Salted egg prawns, something more unique. The 'siew long pau' is good, but not great. And of course the pig-shaped red bean pau is a must if u wanna camwhore. I wanted to tk pics with the pau, but then the neighbouring table kept looking at me =.=

Yeaps~ =) ehhe. There ya go!

Chapter 5: Snooze~

Exam week is really pushing everyone to their limits. U can actually feel ur hair getting grey, ur wrinkles deepening. Especially for last minute-rs like me. Always struggling the night before exams to try to digest as much information about diseases, drugs & microorganisms.

I'm glad all the major subjects are over, which means, i can finally get some rest. Tho wed got forensics, it's not as heavy as the other 3 subjects.. i think... =) Then right after forensics I'm going home! I can't wait.

And this holiday is really special to me for several reasons. You'll never know~ =) ahahaha

Am not a fan of Vday, because i hate how the singles or dumped, or recently lost loved ones feel when they see all those commercialised pink hearts & red roses all over town. Couple holding hands loving each other more, cuz u're suppose to. Hey! It's vday right, u ought to be a little more 'special' to ur partner, unless u wanna be called a selfish & insensitive, and spend the next week, manja-ing ur partner with gifts & sweet talks. *shrugs*

Ok, i'm a hopeless romantic. No no, rephrase. I 'blog' like a hopeless romantic. I mean, i prefer random, spontaneous thoughtful gestures. Rather than, an expensive dinner just cause they're having promotion that says "Free Door Gifts for couples!" And the whole superfical concept that convinvce valentine's day is all jovial and everyone's in love is just... Hmmm~ how to i explain, i mean, try doing this. Take a chopstick, and reach it to the back of ur tongue, as far as u can go~ That's how it feels. (dun makan b4 u try this, wait i kena sue for promoting bulemia)

Chapter 1: 25 Damned Things

I've been tagged to gv like 25 random facts about me. Which is alot.. 25 random things... Hmmmm.. Here's trying~

1. I'm not very fussy with my food, i eat almost everything. And not very weight conscious when eating... which reminds me.. i need to eat less =)
2. So, with no.1) said, hahahaha the 2 major food i dun take at all is Milk & Soya bean. Something bout the color n smell just disgusts me. Unless they're added with something or modified like chocolate milk & tofu.
3. When i was say, 14-16, I hated my parents cuz i was listening too much to wat emo rockstar has to say. Somehow, hearing P!nk belt "In our family portrait, we look pretty happy, we look pretty normal, let's go back to that" really turned my life around.
4. If u google Aaron Ng =) (LOL!!!!!!! dun judge me!) I mean u should try googling ur name it's fun. I remember googling it last time n i dun even appear on the 1st page of the search. But now, i'm no.3 =p SO proud.
5. If u google 'Naked Gurls' under image, u'll come to my blog again! LOL! this one is hilarious.. for a second, i thought i was traficking porn, So sorry for disappointing.
6. I always think the weather's hot cuz i'm around, It's just to annoy the crap out of my frens. DO i really think it's hotter with me? Haha.. this u'll never know~ =)

19. One died, cuz my dog went into the house and killed it. I released the other one the next day.
20. I have extreme fear of heights. Worst height experience was in Gua Niah.. I just froze and refuse to move halfway thru.. My frens had a good laugh from it tho =)

22. I used to catch earthworm for fun as a kid.

Chapter 7: Reviewing M.Life

After reading microbio for the whole night (which extended til morning =.=), M.Life seems like another species of mycobacterium. You see, M.Life is the 1st ever MMMC magazine. And I think it's a pretty decent job for a first. I like the layout inside, i like the scope it covered, I like the articles. Partly cause, there was contribution from different ppl around the college. Which shows diversity, diferent writing styles, and concept.

But, here's a few pointers i wanna lay out, But b4 that, i don't tk 'If u're so smart, y dun u do it?' talk... Think of me as the Randy, Paula & Simon of Idol, i gv my critics, u choose to accept or reject it, but dun expect me to sing better than you. Ok?



So here's it:

1. Front Cover: The epitome of all magazine, the reason Vogue is Vogue & Elle is Elle. Ours was... nah~ not phenomenal. I like the black background with shaded details, but the whole presentation is.. abit flat.
   
   
2. Lecturer's picture: I dun get it, why the students can have photosessions and the lecturers can't? Omg, them with their passport photos..
   
3. Plus Point: I guess the best thing about the magazine is the tonnes n tonnes of coloured pages.. haha. It's just so fun flipping thru a colorful magazine. But of course, the colors fade to black n white la, which just makes the colored one more special =)
   
4. Considerate: Remember some time ago, i voiced about certain nominations like 'Class Weirdo' needs to b abolished? I'm so glad they removed it. So, for tat, great job!


5. Unexpected Writings: I think the portion which shows our lecturer's artworks & poetries was a nice touch.
   
6. Unrecognised: Probably my main issue with the mag. I dun like the fact tat for a few competitions, the winners do not have their pictures published. Not saying i'm a 'Publish me! Publish me!' whore. But how come, my group won the group singing, and we didn't get a square? Or the fact that my group won the group dance, and our picture is tiny, and the chinese dance appeared on the cover, and 2 other pages?? (i'm not blaming the dancers or anything, just perhaps in future give attention to detail. Just like they won't put Avril Lavigne on front page of the papers after Beyonce won 3 grammies right?)

Well, then again, this IS our first ever magazine, and i think it has set the bar pretty high for future editors. And i like that the magazine shows a different side of the Manipal-ians, where we play games & sports & travel. Oh ya~ hahaha Call this self-love or obsession~ Bla~ Watever u call it, hahahaha =smy picture appeared erm... 7 times? LOL! Oh god. i have issues...

Note to self: Try to squeeze into more pictures for the next issue!

Chapter 5: Obsessed~

In a nerd eat nerd world I'm in, where every geeks & bookworms unleash their secret power. I'm not mocking them, but in fact i'm very amazed by the countless hours they can give to staring at pages after pages of medical books. With exams just around the corner, i need to dedicate more into my studies..

Contrary to popular beliefs, i'm not at the top of the pack in med school. I try to tho.. Ok not rly.. hahahaha =) but i try to do my part the best way i know how lar.. (banyak excuse).

Ok la.. i need to go slave infront of my books. Got Microbio test tmr.. Hehehe~ Oh yea.. Vday's around the corner, everyone got their partners d? If not, yay!!! We get to save money~ kan baik? Instead, why not take ur parents or best fren out for a nice dinner =) Vday is to celebrate with someone u love ma.. not necessary someone u're gonna bed by 11pm. To me at least~

Chapter 4: How To Cut A Pomegranate

Hehe. I'm not sure how many of u read my old post about, 'How To Carve A Pumpkin' for Halloween. =) Well, This post is about how to cut a pomegranate. Erm, well, i'll b honest. I googled it first. Haha cuz it's my 1st time handling this ruby fruit. I got the full details from http://www.gourmetfood.com/ la. =)

So here goes:

The main attribute to select a pomegranate is the weight of it. Relative to its size of course. Just agak agak la, if it feels heavy heavy abit. Means it should b fine. Even if the skin abit jialat still ok, cuz the skin damn thick (like some ppl out thr)

Now wat u need to do is use a sharp knife (got ppl sell blunt knife before mer =.=) and cut off about half an inch from the top. Careful of the juice cuz might stain ur clothes.

Use the knife to make a few scores around the fruit. I did six. U can do bout 5 or 6 la. Not too deep, about say.. 1/3 an inch deep? Then put it inside a bowl of water and break it like peeling erm.. mandarin orange?

Then seperate the pulp from the skin. Quite easy la.. Do it inside the water so wont squirt so much juice, and at the same time, the fruit will sink, and the skin will float =) Smart kan?

Now sieve all ur hard work and either refrigerate it awhile or put some ice on them. I did neither cuz i malas =s

Of course after all ur hardwork, camwhore abit with ur craftsmanship ma =) Haha.. I think damn successful lor. Cuz 1st time i'm doing it mar.

You see, i got PBL presentation tomoro. And i should be reading about carbamazepines & phenytoins. And the moment i'm infront of my blank paper, with a pen in hand, i can never stay still and do wat i'm supposed to..

Like during one of the test last week, while i was doing notes, and i saw SeeTeng's winnie.. this was wat happened to my notes..
Today's no difference.. i was flipping thru antiepileptics... and my notes soon became...
