Day 8-9: Tong Chang!

Weeee fat pic =p hahahaha~ Nyway Day 8 of CNY is also the day where chinese give offerings to the Sky God, which is like a really big event. People will display fruits and vegetables and food and flowers and incenses. They will pray from moon rise until midnight, where they'll burn Hell Bank Notes and release fireworks.
One of my fave tradition has gotta be the Lion Dance. I loveeeee Lion dances. Ever since i was a kid, i'd bug my grandfather to invite them over for CNY, and every year, he did. The lion dance is suppose to chase evil spirits away, as well as bring luck to the hosts.
Nowadays, the lion's eyes have super bright LED . hahahha~ super cool =p now they can see in the dark =p ROar!

I guess the new gimmick with lion dances is that they'll display numbers after they eat their fruits. Which is realy cool, since aunties lovee to get 4digit numbers from a mystical creature then the next day, all go buy TOTO =p
this lion dance was pretty awesome, because i was with my small cousins, and one in particular was terrified intially.. But after awhile, i took him to tk photo with the lion, and by the end of the night, he was chasing the lion around =)

p/s: that's my dad receiving a dragonfruit from the lion.
